Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain compliance with GEHC Framework elements related to:
- Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO)
- Electrical Safety
- Machine and Tool Safety and Guarding
- Robotic Safety
- Lifting Suspended Loads
- Perform risk assessments for machines, tools, electrical systems, and robotics installations and implement defenses/corrective actions as needed.
- Review and approve EHS requirements in machine and equipment procurement.
- Conduct technical safety inspections and audits.
- Support the management of change (MOC) process for projects and operations involving equipment, electrical systems, and layout.
- Develop and deliver technical EHS training (e.g., LOTO, machine safety awareness, electrical safety basics).
- Provide EHS technical support to construction and commissioning activities.
- Ensure incident investigations involving equipment and technical systems are properly analyzed, and corrective actions are implemented.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, and Project Management teams to integrate EHS requirements early into designs and installations.
- Identify opportunities for improving technical safety practices and implement changes to enhance safety and compliance.
- Keep up to date with changes in technical EHS regulations and standards (e.g., EN ISO 13849, IEC standards, Norwegian regulations).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS roles with a focus on technical safety in industrial, manufacturing, or high-tech environments.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, risk assessment techniques, root cause analysis, technical audits.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Norwegian.
- Relevant EHS certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are preferred.
