Job Title: EHS Coordinator
Location: Small Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Site
Reports to: Site EHS Manager
Job Summary:The EHS Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the development, deployment, and implementation of all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) related matters in accordance with Pfizer EHS requirements and standards, as well as legal and regulatory requirements. This position will work closely with global Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance.
What You Will Achieve:
- Ensure the development, deployment, and implementation of EHS programs and initiatives that comply with Pfizer EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and support site EHS activities, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among all employees.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with global SMEs to implement best practices and share knowledge across the organization.
How You Will Achieve It:
- Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance and awareness.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and develop preventive measures.
- Provide EHS training and support to employees and contractors to enhance their understanding and compliance with EHS requirements.
- Work closely with site management and employees to foster a proactive EHS culture and address any EHS concerns or issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in EHS coordination or a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including Pfizer EHS requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address EHS issues proactively.
- Certification in EHS (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
