·          Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies.

·          Develop, deliver, and track EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, managers, and contractors, covering topics such as PPE, hazardous materials, emergency response, machine guarding, fire prevention, electrical safety, and material handling.

·          Lead safety initiatives, including facility safety walks, audits, inspections, and employee engagement activities to identify risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.

·          Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns to determine root causes, develop corrective actions, and monitor closure of action items.

·          Maintain EHS records, training documentation, metrics, and compliance data using company tracking systems; analyze and communicate safety trends to leadership.

·          Support contractor safety programs and collaborate with environmental specialists to ensure proper management of hazardous, non-regulated, solid, and universal waste streams.

·          Conduct routine floor presence and facility walkthroughs to engage employees, reinforce safe work practices, and identify potential hazards.

·          Maintain professional certifications, stay current on evolving EHS regulations and industry best practices, and represent the company at EHS meetings, audits, and conferences.

·          Provide support to EHS leadership, including preparation of reports, performance metrics, and coverage during manager absences.

·          Travel as required (up to 10%) and perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

·          Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field. 3+ years of EHS experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·          OSHA, EPA, BCSP, Safety Council, or related certifications preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain RCRA/DOT certification for waste management.

·          Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interpret regulations, prepare reports, develop procedures, and present information effectively to employees and leadership.

·          Ability to analyze data, investigate issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions to complex EHS challenges.

·          Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using EHS, risk management, project management, and database software.

·          Ability to apply basic statistical analysis, percentages, ratios, and other quantitative methods to workplace safety and environmental program



Skills Required
