What You’ll Do:
- Lead the hazardous waste management program to achieve regulatory compliance and support ISO 14001 environmental management objectives through effective waste handling, inspections, training, recordkeeping, continuous improvement initiatives, environmental performance tracking, and audit readiness.
- Manage hazardous chemicals and environmental compliance systems, including chemical inventories, SDS management, hazardous material reporting, compliance records, environmental metrics, and regulatory tracking tools.
- Provide technical expertise in air quality, hazardous waste, and industrial wastewater permit compliance, including permit condition tracking, inspections, recordkeeping, reporting, and regulatory agency interactions.
- Support safety compliance activities, including OSHA compliance, risk assessments, safety inspections, corrective action tracking, incident investigations, and employee safety training programs.
- Respond to environmental incidents, chemical spills, and emergency events, providing technical support for containment, reporting requirements, corrective actions, and environmental impact mitigation.
- Support regulatory inspections, environmental audits, permit renewals, ISO 14001 initiatives, and corporate compliance assessments, ensuring all environmental and safety programs remain audit-ready and compliant with federal, state, and local requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Environmental compliance experience in semiconductor, electronics, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing industries.
- Working knowledge of California air quality, hazardous waste, industrial wastewater and environmental permitting requirements.
- Experience supporting or implementing ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, regulatory reporting, and agency inspections.
What You Need:
- Knowledge of chemistry, hazardous materials, and relevant EH&S regulations (EPA, DTSC, Cal-OSHA).
- Experience with environmental compliance, safety audits and emergency response (HAZWOPER preferred).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across all organizational levels.
- High attention to detail, accurate documentation, and ability to work independently.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and SharePoint; able to obtain required EH&S certifications.
- Physically able to perform inspections, wear PPE, and lift up to 50 lbs.; holds valid CA driver’s license.
- Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years’ experience or Associate’s degree in a related field and 4-6 years EH&S experience in CA industrial/manufacturing/R&D environments preferred.
- U.S. citizenship due to access restrictions.

Salary Range:
$77,900.00-$103,800.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
