About the role
The Educational Engagement Specialist will lead the design and execution of education-focused initiatives tied to Wonder Project titles, their production, grassroots campaigns, and domestic releases. This role is both strategic and operational—responsible for developing compelling educational resources in partnership with nonprofits and curriculum creators, and ensuring those resources are delivered effectively at scale to schools and institutions across the country.
This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for educational institutions, building and maintaining trusted relationships while overseeing logistics, onboarding, and engagement. The role requires fluency in both the language of media and the world of education, with a deep understanding of how schools operate, where decisions are made, and how to deliver value that inspires both educators and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and execution for all educational campaigns tied to Wonder Project content, from development through delivery.
- Collaborate with nonprofit and curriculum partners to create video and instructional materials featuring film IP and talent.
- Build and operate a streamlined system to onboard schools, districts, and nonprofits for advanced group screenings.
- Manage all screening logistics, including ticketing, scheduling, and transportation; or coordinate and oversee vendors for these functions.
- Serve as the primary relationship holder for educational institutions, including K–12 and post-secondary partners.
- Develop and manage educational partner offerings tied to Wonder Project’s subscription service, including bulk licensing, usage models, and value propositions.
- Guide new school and nonprofit partners through onboarding, launch, and activation — providing high-quality support to partners, including answering questions, training staff, and maintaining strong engagement.
- Track and report key metrics, including reach, activation rates, engagement, and renewal status. Build and maintain dashboards to monitor partner health and identify risk or growth opportunities.
- Deliver regular check-ins and professional development/in-service opportunities for educators, administrators, and institutional partners.
- Drive renewals and expansions by demonstrating value, building trust, and helping partners achieve their goals.
- Represent Wonder Project at educational conferences and gatherings; travel as needed to connect with key leaders nationwide.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in education, curriculum development, or nonprofit program delivery.
- Proven ability to scale outreach, manage complex partnerships, and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Strong relationships with educational institutions and a deep understanding of school systems and buying cycles.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills; able to inspire and build trust with educators and decision-makers.
- Experience developing and delivering instructional content, ideally in partnership with media or cultural organizations.
- Comfort with project management tools and CRM systems to track partner progress and communication.
- Willingness to travel for school visits, conferences, and relationship-building opportunities.
- Passion for Wonder Project’s mission and belief in the power of content to educate, inspire, and transform.
