EDUCATION TRAINING SPECIALIST

Mountain View Hospital is looking for an Education Training Specialist to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:  

The Education Training Specialist is an integral component to the Education Department and is committed to working collaboratively with the Education Team to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. The Education Training Specialist collaborates with the American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center Coordinator (TCC) to instruct BLS classes as requested. They will help with the onboarding process for both Mountain View Hospital (MVH) and Idaho Falls Community Hospital (IFCH) employees as needed. They will assist in record keeping for all education required for both MVH and IFCH employees.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Welcomes internal and external customers in person, or by answering all incoming calls to either personally address their needs or when necessary, refers them to the appropriate education team member. 
2.    Assists education team with the maintenance of all education records and files including the Learning Management system records.
3.    Shares the duties of scheduling new MVH and IFCH employees for classes and trainings as a part of the onboarding process.
4.    Ensures the accuracy of documents received for employees prior to adding them to employee records. 
5.    Facilitates AHA BLS classes as needed.

Education/Certification:  High School Graduate or GED required.  BLS certification preferred or will be required to become certified within two weeks of hire. Will be required to become an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Instructor within six months of hire date.

Experience:   One or more years in clerical, customer service and computer skills preferred.

Equipment/Technology: Demonstrates ability to use Microsoft Office applications and other computer systems and technology required for responsibilities. Ability to learn and effectively use organizational systems and technology as required.

Language/Communication: Ability to effectively communicate information verbally and in writing with staff and leadership. Demonstrates effective communication, active listening, and professional interpersonal skills.
