What you get to do:

You will enthusiastically represent the organization by displaying a positive attitude and a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job. This role is responsible for planning, teaching, and evaluating the implementation of Camp curriculum and program schedule while creating and maintaining a safe Camp environment. Additionally, you will:

  • Responsible for supervising assigned program. These assignments may rotate based on business needs.
  • Responsible for performing job duties/tasks of positions within assigned program.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive atmosphere which ensures the highest level of ambassador performance and guest service while enforcing and complying with safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Supervises, trains, and coaches’ ambassadors while ensuring proper training and development in accordance with SEA guidelines.
  • Communicates with Leadership when documentation of an Ambassador may be warranted.
  • Encourage and demonstrate confidentiality and professional communication internally and with all departments that interact with the Education department.
  • Accurately tracks ambassador labor to include daily scheduling.
  • Complies with area opening and closing procedures and ensures all ambassadors complete tasks within a timely manner.
  • Assist department in other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • At least one-year prior experience within the Education department preferred.
  • Minimum of six months park experience. Ability to maintain a valid DOT physical card
  • Working knowledge of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Provide excellent service to guests and ambassadors.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekdays, weekends, evenings, overnights, and holidays.
  • Consistently practices safe work habits including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations.
  • Must be willing to comply with and ensure ambassadors comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.
