What you will accomplish with us

As an Education Specialist, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Deliver and facilitate educational sessions in person and virtually for members in the field of group insurance and retirement ;
  • Create a positive learning experience, centered on learners’ needs, promoting understanding, engagement and action-taking ;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design, improve and evolve education and communication solutions ;
  •  Train members on the effective use of tools, digital platforms and available services ;
  • Answer members’ questions and resolve issues during live educational sessions ;
  • Contribute to the development of new educational content, tools and service functionalities.

What could accelerate your success in this role

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a college diploma (DEC) or a bachelor’s degree in a related field ;
  • Masters the Office Suite ;
  • Is recognized for strong communication skills ;
  • Stands out for the ability to simplify concepts and engage different audiences ;
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving ability ;
  • Shows adaptability ;
  • Has an intermediate level of knowledge of the English language since the person will need to communicate orally and in writing with English-only internal and external partners across Canada on a daily basis through emails and virtual meetings ;
  • Holds a completed PQAP / LLQP, otherwise the person will have to complete it within the first year of employment ;
  • Holds a valid driver’s license and a vehicle (travel expenses reimbursed according to policy), as the position requires local travel a few times per month, with occasional travel within Canada ;
  • Has a minimum of three years of experience in group benefits or group retirement (asset).
