Job Description
The Education Coordinator leads a team of Head Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Aides — supported by a fully resourced multi-disciplinary team that includes behavioral health coordinators, disability specialists, family support and health staff. Together, you’ll be assisting our educators to support our youngest learners and their families while enhancing learning environments and helping educators grow.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of educators through regular observations, reflective feedback, and 1:1 supervision
- Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure instructional quality across all classrooms
- Analyze child outcome data and use it to drive meaningful improvements in teaching practice
- Partner with the full support team to ensure every child receives the services they deserve
- Manage hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development for all teaching staff
- Ensure classrooms are always in compliance with Head Start, Early Start CT, and state licensing standards
- Support teachers in building strong family partnerships and community connections
- Contribute to program planning, reporting, and continuous quality improvement

Qualifications
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with 5+ years of experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
- Deep knowledge of early childhood development, special needs, and Head Start performance standards
- A coaching mindset that takes a strengths based approach and values the contributions of others
- Strong organizational and communication skills
