About the team  

The Workplace Compliance Operation teams work closely with professional and academic colleagues to ensure that the University meets its operational compliance obligations in relation to casual academics. The teams drive continuous improvement, embeds consistent best-practice, processes and frameworks, while overseeing operational compliance across all faculties and business areas. Together, the teams ensure consistent, cohesive standards are maintained, and that all casual academic staff are paid accurately in line with University policies and procedure and legislative requirements. 

About the opportunity 

As Education and Training Advisor you will be responsible for a variety of activities related to the planning, development, delivery and maintenance of compliance and capability learning content.  

Applying adult learning principles and drawing on their expert knowledge, this role will work closely with key University stakeholders, including senior decision makers, to advise on and then design fit-for-purpose and strategic training solutions that enhance the learner experience and drive and sustain positive behavioural and operational change across the University.  

Your key responsibilities will be to: 

  • design and develop training resources for University professional and academic staff to uplift knowledge and capability 

  • conduct hybrid education and/or training sessions with target audience groups on EA obligations and compliance including the tools available in the university to manage compliance 

  • build and maintain professional relationships through effective communication and engagement capability 

  • monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and quality of the training programs and communications strategies to ensure they are fit for purpose and lead to increased engagement and compliance 

  • maintain knowledge of current trends in educational technology to assist with updating training material, including the integrated use of innovative AI to support education design. 

 

About you 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Learning Design or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience 

  • experience in managing diverse stakeholder groups, with a proven ability to influence and build strong relationships to drive consensus and achieve common  

  • experience in analysing and reporting data, including relevant trends and patterns and formulating insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders 

  • experience in the use of e-learning tools, especially the Articulate suite

  • experience with developing compliance related e-learning content 

  • experience working in organisations with regulatory compliance and monitoring requirement  

  • experienced in managing projects from conceptual design through to delivery  

  • exposure to working with Change frameworks and methodologies 

  • previous experience in a training developer capacity together with a strong understanding of contemporary HR practices.
