The Education and Events Lead is a food enthusiast who passionately engages guests in Eataly’s mission through events and educational programming. Reports to the Marketing Manager.
- Plans, schedules and executes public and private events including: specialized cooking/wine/food knowledge classes, group reservations, buyouts, press events, tastings and private receptions
- Supervises staff members during events to ensure smooth execution
- Writes and monitors class descriptions; compiles instructor biographies, Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) and sales contracts; creates class registration pages online
- Fosters accountability in departments and interdepartmental collaboration when planning events
- Builds and manages client lists and relationships
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
- Ensures in store communication is up to standards and follows the brand guidelines.
- Utilizes tools and systems provided to produce in store signages where needed and necessary. (i.e. Events materials, Posters, Flyers for campaigns). Oversees in store installations.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred but not required)
- 3+ years of experience in restaurant operations, sales management, marketing or event planning
- Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
- Outstanding professional communication and editorial skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Italian wine and gastronomy
- Proficiency in Italian language preferred

- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
Compensation: This position pays a base rate of $22-$25 Per Hour
