Your Responsibilities
As an Editorial Manager for Deere & Company World Headquarters located in Moline , IL , you will lead the editorial vision, content strategy implementation, and planning of enterprise employee communications, ensuring that stories, campaigns, and content programs align to business priorities, audience needs, and channel strategy. The role operates as the editorial hub of internal communications, partnering closely with strategic communications managers to deliver cohesive, high-impact storytelling at scale. Additionally you will:
Editorial Leadership & Planning
  • Lead enterprise editorial planning and prioritization across major initiatives and moments that matter, as well as managing our editorial calendar and internal "newsroom"
  • Implement content strategy by translating enterprise strategies and narratives into compelling editorial storylines, content arcs, and campaigns
  • Support channel strategy, counseling stakeholders on optimal channel selection
  • Balance newsroom-paced responsiveness with strategic, planned storytelling
  • Oversee development of multi-channel content programs ensuring fit for audience and channel

Cross-Functional Orchestration
  • Ensure Director-level alignment on major campaign priorities and progress
  • Partner with strategic communications managers, PR/Social, and Brand to synch editorial plans and ensure alignment to content strategy
  • Serve as a connector and trusted editorial advisor across teams to reduce duplication, silos, and last-minute misalignment

Platform & Governance Leadership
  • Serve as Business Lead for the intranet, focused on platform strategy, quality, and audience value while keeping perspective of the full ecosystem of channels
  • Champion best practices for channel use, cadence, and content experience

Insights, Optimization, & Evolution
  • Use data, insights, and employee feedback to continuously optimize content and channel choices
  • Identify trends in storytelling formats, platforms, and tools that can enhance employee experience
  • Contribute to the evolution of editorial processes and newsroom operations

What Skills You Need• Communications management experience, including content strategy development and management, communications channel understanding, as well as the ability to lead complex communications planning efforts• Superior problem-solving, decision-making, systems thinking, and project management skills• Outstanding people skills - influencing without authority, gaining leadership alignment, and acting as a trusted communications advisor• Strong written and verbal communications• Applies quantitative methods, including data, research, impact, and measurement to understand comms impact and optimize content and channel strategy
What Makes You Standout• Internal communications management experience, including developing comprehensive, integrated strategies designed to share enterprise narratives with internal audiences• Experience guiding, evaluating, and improving creative solutions with regard to writing, and visuals/design• Editorial experience in a news-making environment; public relations or internal communications, digital content marketing or content creation.• Can-do attitude and a sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment• Energetic and skilled storyteller - long form, short form, visual and up to date with latest trends
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent experience in the following:
  • Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing Communications degree or related experience
