Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.

Position Overview:

We’re seeking an Editorial Manager, to drive the editorial strategy, planning, and content engine for Saronic’s Public Relations and Communications function. This role will sit at the center of the organization’s storytelling efforts, identifying compelling stories, uncovering proof points, and creating the structure and momentum needed to consistently bring Saronic’s technology, people, mission, and impact to life.

You’ll operate with the instincts of a journalist and the discipline of an exceptional program leader: building relationships across the company, asking the right questions, spotting stories others might miss, and translating complex work into clear and compelling narratives. You’ll own the communications editorial calendar, connect company milestones to storytelling opportunities, and proactively fill gaps with timely, substantive content that advances Saronic’s broader communications objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Editorial Strategy & Planning

  • Own and manage Saronic’s communications editorial calendar, creating a comprehensive view of company milestones, announcements, events, campaigns, and storytelling opportunities.

  • Develop an editorial rhythm that ensures a consistent flow of high-quality content across Saronic’s communications channels.

  • Identify gaps in the editorial calendar and proactively develop stories, content, and campaigns that keep Saronic’s narrative moving forward.

  • Translate company priorities and communications objectives into clear editorial themes, storylines, and content opportunities.

Story Development & Reporting

  • Build relationships across Saronic to uncover compelling stories, proof points, technical milestones, customer impact, employee expertise, and other moments that strengthen the company’s external narrative.

  • Approach the organization with a journalist’s curiosity by asking thoughtful questions, following leads, and identifying stories and connections that may not otherwise surface.

  • Conduct interviews and research across technical, operational, business, and leadership teams to develop accurate and differentiated content.

  • Turn complex technical and business topics into clear, credible, and engaging narratives for external audiences.

Content Development & Execution

  • Write, edit, and develop high-quality content across formats, including thought leadership, executive communications, company stories, contributed articles, talking points, briefing materials, digital content, and other editorial assets.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Public Relations, Social, Marketing, Recruiting, and other teams to translate editorial opportunities into coordinated communications.

  • Maintain a high editorial bar for clarity, accuracy, voice, and consistency across communications content.

  • Move quickly from idea to execution, helping the communications function capitalize on timely opportunities while maintaining quality and strategic alignment.

Communications Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as a central point of coordination across the Public Relations and Communications function, helping connect priorities, milestones, content needs, and opportunities.

  • Establish processes and operating rhythms that improve visibility, accountability, and execution across communications initiatives.

  • Work cross-functionally to anticipate upcoming company developments and ensure communications opportunities are identified and planned for early.

  • Help prioritize competing opportunities and keep high-impact editorial initiatives moving from concept through publication.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, journalism, corporate communications, public relations, content strategy, or a related field. Agency experience is a plus.

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn complex subject matter into clear, compelling narratives.

  • Strong editorial judgment and demonstrated ability to identify stories, angles, and proof points that resonate with external audiences.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and source information across a complex organization.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with experience managing editorial calendars, multiple workstreams, and competing deadlines.

  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, moving fluidly between long-range planning, story development, writing, and day-to-day execution.

  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to dig deeply into technical, operational, and business topics.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced and high-growth environment with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in technology, defense, aerospace, maritime, robotics, or industrial/manufacturing environments.

  • Background in journalism, newsroom operations, editorial leadership, or another reporting-intensive environment.

  • Experience developing executive thought leadership and working directly with senior leaders.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate highly technical subject matter for broader audiences.

  • Experience supporting integrated communications programs spanning earned media, owned content, social media, events, and executive communications.

Benefits:

  • Medical Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance plans covering a range of services

  • Saronic pays 100% of the premium for employees and 80% for dependents

  • Dental and Vision Insurance: Coverage for routine dental check-ups, orthodontics, and vision care
