We are seeking a dynamic and experienced DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Communications Business Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organization and with external stakeholders. This role requires a strong understanding of DEI principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

•    Develop and implement comprehensive DEI communication strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.

•    Collaborate with senior leadership, HR, and DEI teams to identify communication priorities and target audiences.
Conduct research and analysis to understand internal and external DEI communication trends and best practices.

•    Create engaging and compelling content for various communication channels, including internal newsletters, social media platforms, press releases, and website content.

•    Write and edit communication materials, including articles, blog posts, speeches, and presentations, that promote DEI initiatives and messages.

•    Ensure that all communication materials are culturally sensitive, inclusive, and accessible to diverse audiences.

•    Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, customers, partners, and community organizations, to promote DEI initiatives and foster collaboration.

•    Organize and facilitate DEI-focused events, workshops, and training sessions to promote awareness and understanding of DEI principles and values.

•    Act as a spokesperson for the organization on DEI-related matters, representing the company in external forums and events.

•    Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of DEI communication efforts.

•    Monitor and analyze data to evaluate the impact of DEI communication initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare regular reports and presentations to senior leadership on the progress and outcomes of DEI communication activities.
•    Stay informed about emerging trends, issues, and best practices related to DEI communication.
•    Conduct regular assessments of communication strategies and tactics to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
•    Collaborate with internal teams to integrate DEI principles into all aspects of the organization's communication and culture.

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

•    Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in communications, with a focus on DEI, corporate social responsibility, or related areas.

•    Ideal candidate has experience providing support to fortune 50 or 100 firms and interested providing consultant and advisory support to the US Government

•    Strong understanding of DEI principles, issues, and challenges, with a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages for diverse audiences.

•    Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies and campaigns.

•    Experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship building, and public speaking.

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

•    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
