Job Description

We are a rapidly expanding team in Canada, and we are seeking a detail-oriented, technically proficient, and analytical eCommerce supervisor and expert to join us. The ever-changing eCommerce landscape is evolving at a pace that demands adaptability, quick-thinking, and a thirst for rapid-fire learning that rivals technical expertise. This growth presents exciting opportunities and challenges for the right candidate.

 

The eCommerce Supervisor will report to the Associate Director, Digital Investment & Activation, and will support and – in some cases – own the day-to-day logistics of tactical execution, implementation, and maintenance of eCommerce media efforts. Effective collaboration and communication are key, as this individual will work closely with cross-functional Horizon Media teams, delivering top-notch tactical and detail-oriented work in media buying, optimization, attribution analytics and campaign reporting.   

What You’ll Do 

 

Media Negotiating & Buying – 25% 

· Lead RFP creation and review of partners/site responses, compile proposal analysis and drive partner negotiations  

· Work alongside Horizon Media teams (Performance Media Group, Digital Investment, Ad Operations etc.) towards 360 partnerships, incorporating relevant extensions 

· Contribute to the creation and presentation of media-specific documents such as media plans, objectives and strategies decks, and other related functions 

 

Campaign Management & Execution – 25% 

· Develop and employ successful bidding strategies and effective keyword management to hit target acquisition goals and efficiency metrics. 

· Oversee trafficking and site tagging, ensuring all first- and third-party trafficking is properly implemented  

· Issue specs documents and ensure all materials are received from the creative agency 

· Oversee the creation of campaign post-launch information (i.e. screenshots, links and placement information) to demonstrate proof of placement for clients 

· Own mid-campaign reconciliation, billing, pacing, campaign validation and brand safety

 

Reporting & Analysis - 20% 

· Monitor and report on media campaigns on an ongoing basis, providing an active voice communicating optimization opportunities and challenges to internal teams, media partners and the client 

· Parse through partner ad verification and ad server data to provide critical thinking and analysis, as well as draw conclusions and discover actionable implications 

· Support in determining set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of each initiative 

· Responsible for providing data for dashboards/Excel trackers, as needed by account, ensuring accuracy and validity of data shown 

· Use learnings drawn from data to effectively optimize campaigns

  

Data Intelligence – 15%  

· Help create data informed intellectual property of both media and shopping metrics across each of the platforms that we are advertising on so that we have a proprietary understanding of the Omni-Commerce path to purchase. 

· Parse through large datasets to provide critical thinking and analysis, as well as draw conclusions and discover actionable implications 

· Work with sales results and pricing tools to set optimum revenue achievement goals. 

· Understand, analyze, and recommend data collection strategy; provide insights and optimizations.  

 

Project Management – 15% 

· Keep track of – and communicate - milestones, timelines, and deliverable dates to relevant stakeholders 

· Create and maintain and project management workflows, process docs, and documentation as needed 

· Establish frameworks of presentation decks; help research and build the content supporting the Director level. 

· Generating weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports for all clients, and ability to recognize and troubleshoot data anomalies. 

· Provide consistent and effective support to the Director level on client and new business opportunities.

Preferred Skills & Experience  

· Appx 2 years relevant performance media experience 

· Proficiency in data analytics to optimize media spend

· Experience in Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics required

· Experience in Google Tag Manager is an asset

· Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required 

· Strong analytical skills are required, including the ability to analyze raw data, identify trend drivers, draw conclusions, and summarize actionable recommendations and their forecasted outcomes/implications 

· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to aggregate information and data from multiple sources 

· Strong, established familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and concepts
