The Role

We're expanding our Ecommerce operations and looking for hands-on Operations Assistants to join our warehouse team based on Edinburgh Road, Dumfries.

Shift Patterns Available:

Sunday–Tuesday, 6:30am–6:00pm + every second Saturday
Wednesday–Friday, 6:30am–6:00pm + every second Saturday

💷 Hourly Rate: £13.06

Brief Overview

At Covetrus, we’re dedicated to delivering the highest level of service to our customers – and we’re looking for a motivated Operations Assistant to help keep our warehouse running smoothly.

What you’ll be doing:

• Picking and packing customer orders with accuracy and care

• Making sure parcels are securely packaged and sent on time to meet delivery deadlines

• Using scanners to locate and process items quickly and efficiently

• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe

• Operating machinery (training provided) to reduce manual handling

• Labelling and preparing packages at the consigning desk for smooth shipment

• Ensuring every order is ready for despatch ahead of collection times

You’ll be part of a friendly, hard-working team, but you’ll also have tasks where you can work independently and take ownership. In every part of the role, you’ll be focused on delivering excellent customer service and ensuring orders are right first time.

• Works well both independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and a willingness to learn.

• Has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards of performance.

Desirable Skills/Abilities

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Forklift/Bendi Training

• Driver’s license

• Flexibility to do occasion overtime (if/when required)
