Help grow and accelerate the Levi’s SA business on the e-commerce channel in alignment with the overall business objectives and effectively manage the sales, marketing, merchandising and content creation to ensure achievement of the business targets.

Roles & Responsibilities

Strategy:

  • Develop the annual business plan at account level cascading from the overall E-commerce business plan
  • Manage owned Ecommerce site (levi.co.za) in South Africa
  • Review and provide inputs of the sales performance against the plan on a regular basis
  • Coordinate with the retail merchandising teams to identify products based on the strategy, events and customer base of the partner organization and own e-commerce 
  • Undertake market study to develop an understanding of the competitor pricing, promotional offers, gaps, etc. to develop targeted interventions and plans

Operations:

  • Maintain relationships with Commercial teams and external partners to identify opportunities for expansion and ensure overall pipeline & revenue growth
  • Ensure that the required inventory levels are maintained across e-commerce platform.
  • Review and monitor logistic operations to ensure timely dispatch of the Purchase orders
  • Ensure that A+ content & long & short product descriptions for each product is developed and updated in the attribute templates
  • Ensure that the standardization of the images of products are created and uploaded in the website as per timelines and defined processes
  • Manage escalations related to promotion/ discount negotiations
  • Coordinate with internal and external marketing teams to co-create new opportunities of marketing
  • Evaluate the plan developed by the marketing teams and provide recommendations to ensure achievement of the target at lowest possible cost
  • Forge strategic alliances with banks, wallets, UPI platforms, couponing websites, affiliate sites etc. to drive traffic to own e-commerce
  • Manage the activation of promotions/offers as per the plan to optimize sales
  • Conduct root cause analysis on frequently raised complaints by vendor; analyze and take corrective measures

Job specific functional expertise:

  • Build strong relationships with Commercial teams at all ecommerce partners and cross functional internal teams
  • High level strategic thinking and demonstrates entrepreneurial drive
  • Partner centric and interpersonal effectiveness

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Overall working experience of 7 to 10 years of which a minimum of 5 years of experience in ecommerce domain
  • Experience in the retail sector, preferably in fashion
  • Knowledge of ecommerce operations, retailing and merchandising
  • Knowledge of e-commerce promotion planning and implementation practices
  • Good Business acumen with strong analytical skills
  • Well versed with MS office tools
  • Experience working with platforms similar to Shopify would be advantageous
  • Ability to drive results and multitask with internal and external teams; must be a team player
