takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Catalogue Quality & Queries Manager to join our Merchandising, Promotions & Catalogue team in Cape Town.

The position reports to the Head of Merchandising, Promotions & Catalogue. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Management of the Data Quality, Product Queries and Catalogue Feeds teams
  • Ensure continuous improvement in catalogue quality, category tree accuracy and attribute management
  • Root cause analysis and managing of Product/Catalogue related Customer Queries, NWIO escalations and other customer & internal feedback.
  • Reporting on key metrics 
  • Proactively identify and manage potential process gaps/escalations within the current quality & queries catalogue processes.
  • Responsible for new process mapping or design and any changes to the relevant catalogue systems, process and procedures.
  • Work closely with Catalogue engineering team to build an agreed roadmap of core features and short term hot desk items 
  • Consult with various business stakeholders to align around business requirements and objectives relating to catalogue quality through benchmarking and competitor research.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar related to data, management or 5-10 years relevant working experience
  • 3 Years+ managerial experience
  • Retail/FMCG experience (Advantageous)
  • Experience with large-data (Advantageous)
  • Understanding of technical workflows and working with product teams to deliver solutions
  • Proven track record in managing a team
