The Role

About SimpliSafe

We’re a high-tech home security company that’s passionate about protecting the life you’ve built and our mission of keeping Every Home Secure. And we’ve created a culture here that cares just as deeply about the career you’re building. Ours is a no ego culture of collaboration and innovation where those seeking their next challenge can find big opportunities and make a huge impact on the lives of all those who we protect. We don’t just want you to work here. We want you to grow and thrive here.

Why are we hiring?

Well, we’re growing and thriving. So, we need smart, talented, and humble people who share our values to join us as we disrupt the home security space and relentlessly pursue our mission of keeping Every Home Secure.

What You’ll Do

SimpliSafe is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Sr. Ecommerce Analyst who can transform raw data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations. In this role, you’ll develop a keen understanding of customer site behavior, build dashboards and reports, provide ad-hoc analyses and analyze experiments. Your work will identify issues and opportunities with the site experience, help prioritize experiments, create better hypotheses and improve our understanding of experiment results. You need to be proactive, curious, hungry for answers and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Where we work

We’re embracing a hybrid work model that enables our teams to split their time between office and home. Hybrid for us means we expect our teams to come together in our state-of-the-art office on two core days, typically Tuesday and Wednesday, to work together in person, and teams can choose where they work for the remainder of the week. We all benefit from flexibility and get to use the best of both worlds to get our work done.

Who You Are

As a member of the Ecommerce Analytics team, you help transform data into valuable insights that support business decision-making. You excel at building dashboards and performing foundational analyses on lead and lead CRM data. Your communication skills help you convey insights to stakeholders in a way that makes data understandable and actionable.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support data analysis for lead and lead CRM performance data, understanding the dataset structures and ensuring data accuracy for analysis.
  • Create standardized reports and self-serve dashboards for performance tracking and diagnosis.
  • Identify and investigate potential performance issues by gathering and analyzing data, validating hypotheses to uncover root causes.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses, providing data-driven recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders, using visualization and storytelling to make data findings clear and catered to the audience you are presenting to.
  • Support A/B testing program, including helping with execution and analyze test results to inform decision making.

What You Will Bring

  • Ability to work independently on simple tasks while proactively contributing to team projects.
  • Strong critical thinking and quantitative reasoning skills to assist in data analysis and clear communication of findings.
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving data inconsistencies, and reconciling data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to explain fundamental data concepts to non-technical stakeholders and present findings in an easily understandable way.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical and BI tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with web analytics and ecommerce business concepts is preferred.
  • Interest or experience in A/B testing is a plus.

What Values You’ll Share

  • Customer Obsessed - Building deep empathy for our customers, putting them at the core of our work, and developing strong, long-term relationships with them.
  • Aim High - Always challenging ourselves and others to raise the bar.
  • No Ego - Maintaining a “no job too small” attitude, and an open, inclusive and humble style.
  • One Team - Taking a highly collaborative approach to achieving success.
  • Lift As We Climb - Investing in developing others and helping others around us succeed.
  • Lean & Nimble - Working with agility and efficiency to experiment in an often ambiguous environment.

We wholeheartedly embrace and actively seek applications from all individuals, no matter how they identify. We are committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we believe our work is enriched when we incorporate a multitude of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. We want everyone who works here to thrive and contribute to not only our mission of keeping every home secure, but also to making our workplace safe and supportive for others. If a reasonable accommodation may be needed to fully participate in the job application or interview process, to perform the essential functions of a position, or to receive other benefits and privileges of employment, please contact [email protected].

What We Do

Being safe should be simple. SimpliSafe designs home security systems that are wireless, cellular and so user-friendly they can be set up by anyone in minutes. An ever-expanding arsenal of sensors and the SimpliSafe security camera, SimpliCam, provides all-encompassing protection while integrated apps make comprehensive system control possible from anywhere.

But SimpliSafe is way more than its great products. It’s also seamless 24/7 professional monitoring, without the long-term contracts and sky-high prices of traditional alarm companies.

Currently, SimpliSafe protects over 2 million Americans and that number is quickly rising. In 2014, the company was ranked in The Inc. 500 as one of the fastest growing private companies in the nation with a 3,076% 3-year growth rate. SimpliSafe is ushering in a new era — one where anyone anywhere can have a security system that’s not only simple, but also on the cutting edge.
