Our Corporate Equity Capital Markets (ECM) practice is growing and we are therefore recruiting a full-time paralegal to join the team. The Corporate ECM team has extensive experience advising leading investment banks and public companies in areas such as IPOs, global offerings, rights issues and other capital markets fund raising transactions, public takeovers, and regulatory compliance matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /  ACCOUNTABILITIES

We are looking for a full-time senior paralegal to join our ECM team in our Corporate & Finance practice group in Hong Kong. The successful candidate's primary role will work under the direct supervision of senior lawyers to support the team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide paralegal support to members of the Corporate team.
  • Advise clients on international standards and legal matters related to IPOs, global offerings, rights issues and other capital markets fund raising transactions, public takeovers, and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Draft, review, and translate documents in English and Chinese.
  • Conduct legal research, preliminary due diligence, and document review across various jurisdictions.
  • Manage clients' transactions and ongoing legal requirements proactively.
  • Coordinate with third parties, including bidding agencies, certification agents, government offices, and external service providers.
  • Participate in business development activities, such as writing articles, conducting seminars, preparing know-how materials and legal updates
  • Perform additional duties as appropriate.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A law degree from any jurisdiction
  • Experience in a Corporate ECM team at an international law firm
  • Qualification in a major jurisdiction (strong preferred but not essential)
  • Business-level fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken)
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn, sound judgment, and resilience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
