Responsible for performing Echocardiograms on patients and coordinating the document flow to expedite physician interpretations and patient billing. Performs high quality echocardiograms.
Assures correct and prompt document flow. Works harmoniously and cooperates with other members of department and those outside the department. Assures all studies are completed on a timely basis. Attends and satisfactorily completes all required in-service education to maintain skills and increase knowledge of new technologies. Schedules studies as necessary. Performs other duties as appropriate to job level when assigned by the Jackson Clinic Administrator.
Preferred QualificationsHigh School or GED. Prefer graduation from a program of Cardiovascular Technology. Two or more years of experience working in the field of cardiovascular technology. Certification as a Cardiographic Technician or equivalent. Successful completion of the CCI Cardiovascular Science or either component exam of the ARDMS registry (physics or clinical) within one year of hire. BCLS certification required within 6 months of hire. ACLS certification preferred. Prefer personal computer experience and expertise. Ability to learn echo imaging techniques. Good verbal communication and customer relations skills. Ability to work under conditions of tight time frames. Ability to type at least 35 words per minute. Requires long periods of walking, standing and sitting. Must be able to move echo equipment throughout clinic. Ability to lift 35 pounds.
