Key Responsibilities

  • Processes new member, loan, and deposit applications received via the internet, telephone, or branch/department referred.
  • Works and reviews the loan pipeline daily to ensure loans will have a decision in a timely manner and member's expectations are met.
  • Identifies opportunities to cross-sell and/or up-sell loans and other FMFCU products and fee-based services, maximizing all loan opportunities on all loan applications.
  • Educates members on types of loans, rates, and payments processes.
  • Possesses a positive sales attitude/approach in working with members in order to identify additional opportunities to assist members and drive production. Meets or exceeds all monthly and annual production and scorecard goals.
  • Possesses a proficient understanding of ancillary lending products such as GAP and payment protection in an effort to educate and protect members as appropriate.
  • Interfaces with Loan Officers.
  • Requests pertinent documentation depending on the type of loan and contacts members to counsel on changes to make in order to gain approval.
  • Supports other Departments as needed, namely the Member Service Center.
  • Refers completed applications to loan processor for follow up with the member and lending department until the loan is decisioned.
  • Maintains appropriate lending standards following FMFCU policy guidelines.
  • Completes lending documents, following policies and procedures, when necessary, and may close loans.
  • Monitors daily, quarterly, and annual productivity to meet the Credit Union's financial objectives and increase member use of all products and services.
  • Demonstrates a high level of FMFCU loan products/services knowledge and supports Credit Union initiatives through outbound calling.
  • Is responsible for adhering to operational controls, including compliance with all required regulations and policies such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to ensure the safety and soundness of the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union and its members.
Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma and 2-4 years of financial services/banking experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Telemarketing experience preferred
  • NMLS License required.
