About the team:
eBay Live is a new way to sell on eBay, where sellers and buyers interact live on video. We are looking for an experienced eBay Live Associate Category Manager who can join this exciting, growing program and play a pivotal role in driving scale and success. You will work closely with our sellers to help them succeed on this new platform, and be responsible for seeing new sellers through the ebay onboarding process and delivering on GMV targets that will meaningfully drive the overall eBay Live business. You will be responsible for advocating for your sellers and for understanding our product and how it needs to be changed.
What you will accomplish:
Onboarding new sellers:
Facilitate with the onboarding of new sellers
Work with sellers to help them understand the product and to be self-sufficient
Deliver an ambitious eBay Live GMV target for your assigned sellers:
Develop and nurture strong relationships with sellers and understand their business needs
Develop seller strategies for short- and long-term success
Meet regularly with sellers to ensure that they are on track to achieving their goals
Work internally to resolve any pending seller issues
Assist with building out comprehensive content programming plans
Develop an assortment plan with an acquisition strategy
Help us scale eBay Live:
Encourage sellers to participate in test and learn agendas and walk them through the process
Be the voice of the seller! Communicate repeated and ongoing issues to your Category Manager to help influence the product roadmap
BA/BS degree or equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant ecommerce experience working directly with sellers (ideally in the Collectibles or Fashion space)
Experience and interest in Live selling formats
Organized and detail oriented
Proven track record managing multiple priorities with minimum guidance
Strong partner engagement skills
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with sellers and internal team members
Ability and willingness to travel to meet in person with accounts (up to 15% of the month)
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$75,200 - $129,800Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
