- Performs both check in and checkout procedures
- Provides excellent and genuine care for infants, toddlers, and school age children
- Responsible for the health, welfare and safety of the children in Kids Club
- Provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere; maintain center cleanliness, sanitation, organization and appearance
- Build and maintain open communication with children, parents, director and other staff.
- Attend all required staff meetings and trainings
- Ability to lead organized age-appropriate activities, including crafts and physical activities.
- Have monthly staff schedule available to be published by the 22nd of each month.
Member Involvement Skills:
- Be knowledgeable about program areas and share information with members
- Be knowledgeable about the YMCA, its programs and policies
- Take specific actions to move members to more connected and committed relationships with the YMCA
- Responsible for creating organized age-appropriate activities, including crafts and physical activities
- Ability to lead a group of guardians and their children and ensure all policies & procedures are being implemented
- Responsible for cleaning up and taking down ELR program materials
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, sitting on floor or in child sized chairs, diapering, assisting with toileting, climbing, reaching, running, carrying or holding a child up to 50 lbs, and operating a computer are all required functions of the position. Spending time outdoors is also a requirement.
