Some of our clients operate in fields such as Renewable Energy, Resources, Chemicals, Power, and Technology. Many face challenges as they look to reduce their GHG emissions, manage risks posed by climate change and move towards a circular economy.

We as an organisation support our clients with facing their challenges as they look to optimise their environmental, safety and social performance, while also maximising positive impact and navigating societal and economic sustainability challenges.

We help organisations with climate change and sustainability strategy, including climate risk assessment, scenario analysis and resilience strategy.  We also support them in deriving meaning from complex datasets, including carbon emissions, to support compliance and strategic priorities.

Our Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change teams are looking for candidates who have interest in the following topics:

  • Carbon emissions accounting and analytics

  • Compliance and voluntary emissions reporting

  •  Climate risk and adaptation

  • Mandatory climate disclosures (e.g., AASB S2)

Your first 12 months as an entry level employee will include:

Some key attributes for success:

  • Relevant tertiary education in science, economics, finance, public policy, law, and/or engineering.

  • Experience in (or demonstrated interest in) Australian climate policy and regulations through coursework, internships, research, or applied projects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to quickly get across new systems.

  • Ability to multi-task, handling multiple project assignments with strict deadlines.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to understand complex numerical information and use it to tell a story in reports. 

  • Strong motivation and willingness to be flexible across different technical disciplines.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to confidently engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong commitment to safety; ability to follow established health and safety protocols.

Pluses

  • Prior consulting experience

  • Experience with data visualisation tools (eg. PowerBI)

  • Familiarity with emissions accounting and modelling

  • Familiarity with Australian emissions regulations/processes (e.g., National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER), the Safeguard Mechanism, Clean Energy Regulator, Greenhouse Gas Protocol)

  • Knowledge of climate risk assessments (physical and transition risks) and scenario analysis

  • Understanding of supply chain and lifecycle emissions footprints

  • Basic proficiency in Python or R
