We’re looking for an SAP Basis Engineer to join the Core Banking Enablement value stream within Core Banking CIO and help deliver change across the organisation’s SAP landscape. As an SAP Solution Manager specialist, you’ll help design, implement and evolve the monitoring, alerting and change management capabilities that underpin our critical SAP estate.

Working across strategic programmes and platform transformation initiatives, you’ll enhance SAP Solution Manager capabilities including Technical Monitoring, Business Process Monitoring, alerting, diagnostics and Change Request Management.

As Nationwide transitions from SAP Solution Manager to SAP Cloud ALM, you’ll play an important role in introducing and adopting new capabilities across implementation and operations. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.

You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, infrastructure teams, application specialists and delivery teams to design and implement platform enhancements, monitoring capabilities and operational tooling. You’ll contribute to upgrades, migrations, technical implementations, automation and other strategic initiatives across the SAP estate.

As we prepare to transition from SAP Solution Manager to SAP Cloud ALM, you’ll help assess, develop and introduce new Application Lifecycle Management and monitoring capabilities. You’ll ensure new solutions are designed effectively, integrated with the wider technology estate and transitioned successfully to the teams responsible for running them.
