The PositionAs an intern in global automation engineering, you will have the opportunity to delve into the world of smart buildings and cutting-edge technology. You will work alongside industry experts, designing systems that optimize energy efficiency, implement latest cybersecurity measures, and streamline operations through the integration of various systems.
The Opportunity
This internship offers a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to our ongoing standardization efforts in the company. You will play a key role in developing a standardized framework for new projects during the Conceptual and Basic Design phases. This will involve:
Analyzing past project data to identify best practices and possible areas for improvement.
Developing a clear and actionable plan for the initial design stages of new automation projects.
Contributing innovative automation ideas and smart-factory layout concepts that integrate IT, networks, building controls, environmental sensors, warehouse management, and serialization.
Collaborating with cross-functional experts to create a standardized budget template.
Who you are
Pursuing a degree in Life Scienceq/Computer Science/Engineering or related, or alternatively have pursued your degree not longer than 12 months prior to the start date.
Proficient in Office, collaboration platforms, basic networking, and PLC programming.
Adept at rapidly learning and synthesizing complex information.
Effective cross-cultural collaborator with proactive communication and strong analytical skills.
Proficiency in written and verbal English is mandatory, German language skills are advantageous.
Committed to quality and continuous improvement, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies.
This position is not suitable for writing a Bachelor or Master thesis.
Aimed duration of the internship: 12 month
Due to regulations, non-EU/EFTA citizens must provide a certificate from the university stating that an internship is mandatory as part of the application documents, and must be continuously enrolled in their university program for the whole duration of this internship.
