The Opportunity:
The Task Supervisor an entry level supervisory position where you will work closely with Project Managers on financial operations support for the Department of Justice (DOJ) Environmental and Natural Resources Division (ENRD) under the MEGA contract.
You will gain invaluable government operations experience as financial processing and review runs through government year, contract option year, and calendar year cycles. All are subject to internal and third-party audits.
You will enhance your management and communication skills by interacting with your staff and the DOJ case teams during the planning and execution of project requirements, schedules, and all operational support activities.

Responsibilities:
As a Task Supervisor, you will serve as the first line supervisor for financial operational support activities such as document acquisition, document review, tracking, etc.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Sharpen your analytical and problem-solving abilities by performing complex research utilizing DOJ and internally created software and resources.
- Receive significant task management and supervisory experience through the oversight of your team and in their delivery of quality work within strict deadlines in support of DOJ’s mission.
- Supervise and direct Accounting Technicians, Document Management Technicians, and clerical support staff to accomplish tasks.
- Report to Project Manager on task progress; troubleshoots task issues; performs quality control and quality assurance to ensure that work is of high quality and meets contract requirements.
- Coordinates with other DOJ, ENRD, Contractor support staff, including data processing support staff; and documents the work performed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- At least one year of experience on Operational Finance support in a Federal Government environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.
- Excellent writing skills and oral communication skills.
- Requires hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment, and operational and finance support tools within this space.
- Should be a knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Substantial significant experience may in some cases be substituted for degree requirement.
Desired:
- Familiarity with UFMS and knowledge of the Federal Government’s invoicing and financial operation procedures and resources.
- Strong work ethic.
