Position Summary:

The E-Commerce Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading the SVP Worldwide eCommerce assortment planning and growth strategies to maximize shopper engagement and revenue. This person functions as the product owner of the websites and their supporting marketing channels. This person works to translate leadership objectives into prioritized initiatives and inventory roadmaps, quarterly plans, and sprint plans for future growth of the ecommerce business.

This role collaborates with SVP Worldwide Product Category experts to understand category-specific issues and opportunities impacting eCommerce, relaying learnings with the eCommerce team. Likewise, this position communicates product-specific User Generated Content (UGC) and consumer behavior insights gleaned from site shoppers. Partnering across the North America eCommerce and Marketing teams, this person will put in place a pricing and promotional strategy that delivers value to the consumer while hitting established financial goals. This person will constantly optimize the merchandising offer and shopping experience for long-term sustainable growth by being data-focused, testing innovative new approaches and carefully monitoring inventory availability to beat annual sales plan.


Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with tracking KPIs and other reporting to spot new trends and growth opportunities to beat annual sales plan
  • Determine product assortment, pricing, and promotions for eCommerce sites, optimizing inventory availability and vendor partners to support site update schedule with innovative offers and shopping tools to maximize sales opportunities
  • Gain deep insights into the customer’s product needs and motivations to buy, integrate new merchandising ideas throughout the entire site to drive profitable revenue growth and trial into growth categories (ie. accessories add on, bundles)
  • Manage product set-up including images, copy, videos and below the fold content. Ensure product setup into eCommerce platform is complete and accurate, collecting all assets and data for each SKU and optimizing for SEO
  • Oversee product categories closely and adjust product sequencing, featured items, product badging, facets/filters, category pages, search results, etc. in an effort to drive volume, conversion, price and mix
  • Work to increase order size by increasing units per order and mix through merchandising campaigns and onsite tactics
  • Create and manage Merchandising schedules/timelines, track deliverables, and proactively follow-up with partners to meet deadlines (ie. pre-launches, product seeding, ongoing website updates)
  • Analyze and present product category performance, insights and actions to improve site conversion
  • Forecast inventory and sales to support business growth, introduction of new products and maximize in-stock position on an ongoing basis by proactively monitoring weeks of supply and requesting reorders and inventory allocations as needed to reduce out of stocks
  • Support digital content and marketing team with proofing e-mails, suggesting products to highlight, product launches and featuring sales events to drive traffic and revenue
  • Create and strategize marketing assets online to educate customer, be seasonally relevant, support product launches, sales events, etc. to drive sales and conversion.

You Bring (requirements, preferred skills):

  • 3+ years work experience in eCommerce, Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, Strategy, Finance, Operations or IT within a cross functional role
  • 2+ years experience managing/implementing various eCommerce merchandising initiatives such as designing promotional plans, building forecasts, setting pricing, promotions and merchandising priorities
  • Website Content Management System experience for SKU and pricing set-ups and updates
  • Excellent attention to detail, oral and written communication skills, time management skills, and organizational skills.
  • Highly analytical with proficiency in data analysis and reporting to make sound decisions for future plans
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation
  • Consumer focus with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while responding to changing priorities.
  • A hands-on self-starter, with a can-do result oriented positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct oversight as well as working with cross functions partners to strategize growth opportunities.
  • Computer proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

You will need to be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including:

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer etc as well as have the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Required to retrieve or reposition products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Any additional physical requirements
