Position Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Mechanical Test Engineer are conducting analysis on materials using a variety of methodologies and may examine a material property by using various techniques including optical and destructive testing techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct Vibration/Shock Tests:

Understand and perform a variety of Vibration/Shock tests on materials, components, and finished products according to established testing procedures and client procedures.

Understand and at times utilize test equipment such as thermal chambers, altitude chambers, and other specialized equipment

Record and Analyze Data:

Accurately record test data, observations, and results in detailed reports.

Troubleshoot and address any issues with testing equipment and data to maintain accuracy and reliability.

Compliance with standards:

Ensure that all testing activities comply with industry standards, ATS’ Procedures, and safety guidelines.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including metallurgy, chemistry, environmental, machine shop, QC, to support client needs.

Project Manage

Oversee project and work with clients to meet critical deadlines.

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience:

B. S. in Mechanical Engineering

0-2 years’ experience in a testing laboratory environment
