Role description
The Market Data Specialist (m/f/d) is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the market data inventory (Optimize Spend) and associated database systems. Working with colleagues in the market data team to ensure the efficient operation of the market data inventory for the efficient validation and processing of invoices, and transparent reporting to business stakeholders. The candidate should be familiar with, and have applied knowledge, of common market data concepts for managing use of market data, data entitlements (DACS, SID, FID), view charge and netting, derived data usage, data verification reports, data access declaration (DAD), etc. The areas of responsibility include; (i) administration of the market data inventory to ensure accurate and timely updates, (ii) efficient on/off-boarding of services and or users, (iii) analysis of market data spend and periodic reconciliation across budgets, contracted spend, PR/PO utilisation, and invoiced amounts, (iii) preparing reports for vendor declarations and stakeholders.
As a Market Data Specialist / (Senior) Procurement Specialist (m/f/d), you will be managing:
Uploads of maintenance files from HR, FX, and Vendor portals (Bloomberg Customer Centre, LSEG/Refinitiv, Factset, etc). Ensuring uploads are accurate and timely
Managing the inventory of contracts, products and services, pricing, cost allocations, and users Ensuring that the market data inventory is updated in an accurate and timely manner
Invoice reconciliation and validation against contracted spend. Ensuring timely processing of invoices
Monitoring vendor portals and managing change notifications. You will be analysing and applying their impact on the market data inventory
Managing User demand - Joiners, Leavers, & Movers, and periodic re-certification. You will be liaising with various internal stakeholders to complete the picture of market data use
Reporting of market data use and spend. Preparing data for management information systems
We are looking for
Several years experience in market data inventory management
Working knowledge of Optimize Spend (TRG Screen)
Experience with market data audit and compliance reviews
Experience with regulations impacting market data, including TPRM, DORA, Outsourcing, IT Security, Vendor Due Diligence, business resilience
Experience in building tools for monitoring market data licensing obligations would be advantageous
Fluent in English (German a plus)
Self-starter, able to work autonomously
