Due Diligence Researcher – Government Solutions
Location: United States (Remote / McLean, VA or Client Site)

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Due Diligence Researcher to support U.S. Government customers in Know Your Customer (KYC) analysis, enhanced due diligence, and supply chain risk management.
This is a client-facing role responsible for conducting investigative research, assessing risk exposure, and delivering clear, actionable insights to support mission-critical government objectives. You will leverage Exiger’s industry-leading AI platform, DDIQ, alongside open-source intelligence and trade data to evaluate third-party and supply chain risk.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct KYC, enhanced due diligence (EDD), and third-party risk research using DDIQ and open-source intelligence tools
- Identify risk-relevant information and assess its materiality to client operations
- Perform supply chain risk assessments using shipping and trade record databases
- Validate and assess outputs from Exiger’s AI-driven document review systems
- Synthesize findings into clear, concise, and well-supported narrative reports tailored for government stakeholders
- Onboard and train client users on Exiger systems and analytical capabilities
- Advise customers on best practices to maximize the value of Exiger’s software and tools
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
What You Need:
- 3–5 years of direct experience conducting KYC and/or enhanced due diligence investigations
- Experience performing supply chain risk assessments using shipping or trade data
- Knowledge of international sanctions regimes, political risk, reputational risk, criminal exposure, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical and investigative research skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the ability to translate complex findings into client-ready reports
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Self-starter mindset with strong ownership and accountability
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency leveraging technology and AI-enabled tools to support research and analysis
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation
