Your Mission: As a Due Diligence Agent, you’ll conduct essential checks to ensure our customers are who they say they are and keep financial crime at bay. You’ll work with various data sources to verify information, assess risks, and make sure Wise’s KYC (Know Your Customer) process runs smoothly.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Perform Due Diligence: Investigate existing, new, or potential consumer customers, looking at risk factors and important triggers.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate empathetically and clearly with customers during complex or escalated cases, explaining decisions and policies.
- Data Analysis: Use information from internal and external sources to verify customer details and make informed decisions.
- Support Peers: Provide guidance to your team and answer questions about due diligence processes and case analysis.
- AML/CFT Knowledge: Learn the basics of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) regulations, and how they impact our operations.
- Document Findings: When needed, draft SAR (Suspicious Activity Report) narratives to highlight unusual activity.
- Process Improvement: Identify any gaps in policies or processes and provide clear feedback to drive improvements.
- Audit Support: Assist Wise in both internal and external audits and any regulatory queries that come up.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Legally Authorized: You must be authorized to work in the US, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
- Language Skills: You have excellent verbal and written English; additional languages are a plus!
- Communication & Problem-Solving: You’re an effective communicator, able to work autonomously, and capable of handling more complex tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Your organizational skills are strong, and you pay attention to every detail while meeting deadlines.
- Adaptability: You can thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle a variety of shifts, and adapt to changing situations.
- Proactive & Punctual: You’re independent, punctual, and ready to jump in and get things done.
- Team Player: You work well in a diverse environment that values collaboration, transparency, and partnership.
- Shift Flexibility: This is a full-time hybrid role based in Austin, Texas. You’ll work 5 days a week (40 hours), covering shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays—whenever our customers need us most.
