ÉDUCATEUR/TRICE-EDUCATOR

Sous l’autorité du coordonnateur, l’éducateur assure l’éducation et la rééducation des usagers en milieu institutionnel selon les programmes d’intervention établis en collaboration avec l’équipe de professionnels en place, en vue de la réadaptation de l’usager et/ou de sa réinsertion dans la société.  Applique des techniques d’éducation en utilisant les actes de la vie quotidienne, en organisant, coordonnant et animant les activités prévues au programme du service, pour assurer l’apprentissage et l’acquisition d’attitudes et de comportements adéquats. Observe et analyse le comportement des usagers, participe à l’évaluation de leurs besoins et de leurs capacités et note leur évolution en rédigeant les documents appropriés.

Under the authority of the Coordinator, the educator will participate directly to the education and rehabilitation of the users in institutional Centre in accordance with the intervention programs established in collaboration with the existing professional team, with the view of the rehabilitation or reinsertion of the users in the society.  Implements educational techniques by using daily living activities and by organising, co-ordinating and leading scheduled in the program of the service, in order to ensure the users' learning and acquiring suitable attitudes and behaviour. Observes and analyses the users’ behaviour, participates in the evaluation of their needs and abilities and keeps progress notes and produces appropriate reports.
