In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and finishing drywall installations, ensuring high-quality standards are met on every project. - Conduct thorough inspections of drywall installations to identify imperfections such as dents, gaps, or uneven surfaces.
- Use hand tools and sanding equipment to smooth out drywall surfaces and prepare them for painting or finishing.
- Apply joint compound (mud) and tape to seams and joints for seamless wall surfaces.
- Repair water damage or mold issues by removing damaged drywall and restoring affected areas.
- Collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades to ensure drywall work aligns with project schematics and blueprints.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to determine proper placement of drywall panels, fixtures, and openings.
- Install accessories such as trim carpentry, door hangings, fixtures, and moldings as needed.
- Perform caulking around windows, doors, and joints for airtight seals.
- Assist with framing using metal studs or wood as required for wall structures.
- Support restoration projects by restoring damaged walls or surfaces efficiently and effectively.
