Responsible for processes and activities for operating the dryer and supporting the production of safe, quality food.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in a fast pace environment transporting product into dryer to remove excess water from product. Conduct this process safely and efficiently to maintain production flow
  • Assist a suspended stainless steel barrel of produce on a hydraulic hoist. Transport dry product to the hopper for transportation to the bagger
  • Follow all Food Safety requirements and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Ensure conformance to company standards and customer specifications
  • Assist in cleanliness of general work area
  • Ability to work days and hours that can change on a regular basis

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements:

The work environment is cool and wet with temperatures ranging from 34 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit. The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job the associate is primarily asked to stand and walk. Light, periodic lifting will be required. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and must be able to multitask in a fast paced, noisy environment. Must be able to push by utilizing up to 40 pounds of force. Some specific jobs within operation may require lifting up to 45 pounds.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse environment

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.  The expected base rate for this role is between $16.40-$17.40/hour.
