A. Provide technical and musical instruction during rehearsals to youth involved
B. Run rehearsals for and provide technical and musical instruction to the youth
C. Developing Percussion shows.
D. Communicate with youth, staff, and families regarding rehearsals and performances.
E. Selection, maintenance, and/or distribution of necessary equipment to be purchased through the program budget.
F. Supervise students during rehearsals and shows
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school degree or higher.
- Experience and/or expertise in percussion performance.
- Experience and/or expertise in percussion writing or percussion instruction.
- Effective communication with staff, youth, and families.
- Professionalism and positive disposition.
- Has completed or is willing to complete all necessary clearances
- Physical Demands: Standing for up to 1-2 hours at a time (approximately 50+% of the time)
- Temperament: Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions.
- Able to make judgments and work under high levels of stress. Cognitive Ability: Ability to demonstrate technique and perform student parts
- To follow directions and give direction to others.
- To complete assigned tasks without supervision.
Skills Required
