The Role
As we continue to grow as one QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a DRP Planner, NACA to work in our Supply Chain department. The role of the DRP planner is to develop an inventory plan for NACA based on demand, actual orders, network lead times and available inventory. The role will define the appropriate inventory levels in conjunction with the Global Planning team and associated required capacity (for example, distribution and production) to optimize service, working capital and costs. This role is the main point of contact with Customer Service for supply related questions. This person is a hands-on worker who will drive the creation of a finished goods inventory and distribution forecast.
This position is based in Mexico, Work from home.
The Responsibilities

Plan and/or forecast finished goods requirements using SAP and APO. This includes projecting inventory levels, calculating appropriate safety stock, reporting deviations from projected inventory targets, monitoring, and managing product forecasts.

Tracking and reporting on deviations from forecasts, monitoring levels and fulfilment of customer backorders, this includes both direct customer backorders and replenishment shipments to other regions.

Comfortable performing ad-hoc analysis of supply plans, scrap projections, demand, and inventory and provides recommendations to management. This may include developing and executing plans to achieve finished goods inventory or scrap targets, and to support financial goals.

Accountable for finished goods inventory plans. Individual will develop inventory projections, monitor progress to plan, report status to management, and adjust plans as required.

Interface with Customer Service to communicate supply availability. Interface with the warehouse and transportation teams as needed to support day to day operations.

Maintain timely reporting of inventory, backorder, and line item fill rate metrics.

Interact with planning management, procurement, engineering, suppliers, etc.

Identify and drive plans for improvement of supply chain metrics (i.e. inventory, scrap, availability, etc.)

Employ the use of quality and lean thinking tools to identify and drive improvement opportunities.

Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
The Individual
Required:

BS Degree
-
4-6 years supply chain experience in a matrix environment required.

Knowledge of ERP System and planning processes.

Highly Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills.
Preferred:

MBA/MS
-
Focused degree in Supply Chain, Finance or Operations

SAP experience.

MS Access experience.
