RESPEC, an internationally recognized engineering consulting and services company, seeks an a drilling engineer in our Mining & Energy sector in our Rapid City, SD, location.
Job Description
The primary responsibilities of the drilling engineer will be consulting of exploratory drilling, solution-mining and disposal well, complete the life cycle of projects, including project management and execution of project tasks, financial accountability and budgeting, and must be willing to travel 10-20% of the time. RESPEC supports a diverse range of mining and energy projects spanning the globe, offering a qualified candidate exposure to a dynamic mix of drilling projects with diverse clients.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor of science degree in petroleum, chemical, geological, civil, mining, or mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of drilling engineering experience
- Strong technical background in well design and drilling program development and execution
- Prior experience in AFE preparation, cost tracking, and financial accountability
- Strong client relationships and the ability to support business development efforts
- Fundamental understanding of materials testing and constitutive models
- Professional license or the ability to achieve professional license.

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
