Job Description

Teledyne Microwave Solutions has over 50 years of experience in the design, development, and manufacture of sophisticated microwave/RF components and integrated assemblies for the most demanding challenges. Our products and capabilities are sought after by civilian and military organizations spanning numerous global markets, including Aviation, Communication, Electronic Warfare (EW/ECM/CIED), Industrial, Missile/UAV, Radar, Satcom, Space, and Test and Measurement. Job Summary:

Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering.  Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product.  Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards.  Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation.  May work with system management including file maintenance, backup and storage.

Essential Functions:

Creates complex mechanical designs from customer drawings and engineering inputs.  Creates documentation to support ordering and building.  Creates complex assembly drawings to facilitate product assembly.  Oversees lower level designers/drafters.  Creates Source Control Drawings and Vendor Item Drawings for product support.  Designs test fixtures to support manufacturing.  Performs schematic capture and board design.  May include modeling solids.

Knowledge/Skill/Experience:

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

• This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Duties require average verbal and written communication skills.

• Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: High School Diploma Minimum experience required:  6+ years previous

• experience working as a Drafter or Designer Skills Required:  MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD or similar, prefer also MAPICS Preferred Education/Experience/Skills: AA/AS

Citizenship Requirements:

Due to the strict regulations set forth by the U.S. government regarding ITAR technologies, Teledyne Microwave will limit hiring to U.S. persons only, with very rare exceptions made for very senior-level positions or special projects.

ITAR regulations dictate that information and material pertaining to defense and military related technologies (for items listed on the US Munitions List) may only be shared with US Persons unless authorization from the Department of State is received or a special exemption is used.

Salary Range:

$77,000.00-$102,600.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
