Drafter Level I
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Working from verbal or written instructions or rough sketches, make layout and preliminary "study" drawings, layout and detail engineering projects in the assigned discipline (electrical, mechanical, civil/structural, distribution) from designs developed by engineers or drafters of a higher classifications.
2. Using the appropriate tools and equipment, including computer-assisted drafting equipment, develop and prepare neat, accurate and legible detailed engineering drawings of an elementary nature involving basic design work.
3. Assist Drafters of a higher classification in developing and presenting design details to engineering personnel in an intelligible manner.
4. Assist in obtaining field data needed for the development of design drawings.
5. Assist employees of other classifications, as assigned.
6. Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary.
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school graduate or equivalent, supplemented by successful completion of a high school vocational-technical curriculum in Drafting or two semesters of college drafting, and successful completion of a Basic Math Skills course which includes geometry and trigonometry. An alternative to these requirements is successful completion of the Written Entry Level Qualification Examination to demonstrate these skills.
2. Successful completion of that portion of the Entry Level Qualification Examination that demonstrates the ability to interpret drawings and visualize the physical form of the object portrayed.
3. Ability to draw and letter neatly and efficiently as demonstrated by examples.
4. General knowledge and experience in the use of various drafting instruments and equipment. Knowledge and experience in the use of a computer and computer assisted drafting equipment is desirable.
5. Valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle operator's license.
6. Ability to obtain/maintain SSES unescorted access (Nuclear only).
7. Compliance with Fitness for Duty Regulations (Nuclear only).

Drafter Level II
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Duties include but are not limited to:
1.Working from written or verbal instructions or rough sketches, independently develop design work in the assigned discipline (electrical, mechanical, civil/structural, distribution), requiring a fundamental knowledge of mathematics and engineering.
2.Obtain or assist in obtaining field data for development of design drawings; and int he calculations on design work of a moderately complex and technical nature.
3.Using the appropriate tools and equipment, including computer-assisted drafting equipment, prepare for engineering projects of a moderately complex nature, complete design and detail drawings conforming to the company's standards and develop accompanying bills of material.
4.Assist employees of other classifications, as assigned.
5.Review the work of other drafters, as assigned.
6.Perform other related duties, as assigned or as required.
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
1.Satisfactory performance as a Drafter Level I.
2.Minimum of two and one-half years experience as a Drafter Level I.
3.Thorough proficiency in drawing and lettering.
4.Ability to use drafting calculating and computer equipment, including the use of computer assisted drafting to create drawings.
5. Thorough knowledge of company and manufacturer standards and specifications.
6. Valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle operator's license.
7. Ability to obtain/maintain SSES unescorted access (Nuclear only).
8. Compliance with Fitness for Duty Regulations (Nuclear only).
