- GD&T Compliance: Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to production drawings to ensure clarity, manufacturing feasibility, and quality control.
- 3D Modeling: Develop and refine 3D models in SolidWorks to support new product development, prototyping, and engineering projects.
- Engineering Collaboration: Partner with design engineers to ensure all drawings meet quality standards, manufacturing requirements, and customer specifications.
- Data Management: Utilize SAP to manage part numbers, bills of materials (BOMs), and document control processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to departmental efficiency by identifying areas for process optimization and helping to drive positive change.
- Documentation: Maintain organized project files and ensure all drafting documentation is kept current and compliant with internal standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 2–3 years of professional experience in mechanical drafting.
- Software Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Drafting Standards: Strong knowledge of drafting standards and a deep understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for technical drawing accuracy.
- Technical Tools: Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- System Experience: Familiarity with SAP or a similar ERP system is highly preferred.
- Technical Background: Experience in mechanical drafting or a related technical field, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Behavioral Competencies:
- Motivated & Proactive: A self-starter who takes ownership of tasks and looks for opportunities to add value beyond the immediate scope of work.
- "Can-Do" Attitude: A solutions-oriented mindset, particularly when faced with engineering challenges or tight deadlines.
