Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a Drafter to create and modify company drawings using CAD software from sketches, vendor data, drawing templates, verbal instructions, and notes provided by engineering
What You’ll Do:
- Develop physical, schematic, and wiring drawings with CAD software from sketches, vendor data, drawing templates, verbal instructions, and notes provided by engineering.
- Develop CAD drawings for fabricated parts and assemblies for construction, including bill of material and notes
- Understand and apply industry drawing standards. Follow division drafting procedures and work instructions.
- Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to design and detail components and systems. Participate in design problem resolution.
- Identify and select appropriate components for assembly drawings from the Company's MRP system and vendor catalogs.
- Assist engineers with design reviews.
- Maintain design project schedules. Track and report on project status.

What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum of a high school diploma and completion of certified drafting training program with 3 years of drafting experience in an industrial setting or equivalent education and experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of 3D drawing systems and techniques.
- Intermediate knowledge of industry standards for drawings.
- Intermediate interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to read and create technical drawings, blueprints, schematics and material.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deliverable deadlines.
- Intermediate computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and drafting software.
