We are seeking a Drafter to join our team in Bloomington. As a Drafter you will create and/or maintain engineering documentation using CAD software. Engineering documentation includes individual component part models, assemblies, subassemblies, and their respective drawings. Modify detailed drawings of component parts and subassemblies.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Learn and process engineering change requests utilizing engineering sketches and annotated drawings.
Specify and document dimensions, materials, and procedures.
Document parts by modeling simple 3D models, adding coordinate systems, and create detail drawings for manufacturing.
Create SAP Bill of Material reports
Participate in quality initiatives and training as required.

What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
Associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Drafting, Drafting Design, Electronics and Electrical/Mechanical Technology required.
Bachelor’s Degree with engineering technology related disciplines preferred.
Drafter I: 0-2 years of experience with associate’s degree
Drafter II: 2+ years of experience with associate’s otherwise four (4) plus years related experience.
Basic understanding of industry drafting standards (ANSI)
Responsible for adhering to product Drafting Standards and Procedures
Understand the application of basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with CAD software preferred.
Ability to technically communicate with Designers and Engineers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily office-based with regular interaction in a shop/lab environment supporting equipment diagnostics and validation.
Exposure to mechanical and electrical equipment, including moving machinery and powered vehicles.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Fast-paced environment with competing priorities, high customer interaction, and occasional escalations.
Minimal travel may be required (training or field support).
Standard work schedule may include extended hours, or overtime based on customer demand.
Frequent use of computer systems.

Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $25.16/hr. - $35/hr. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
