Job DescriptionThe primary responsibility of a Drafter 1 is to produce accurate and complete detailing deliverables (drawings, shop details, BOMs, etc.) for low-complexity projects, following established drafting standards and procedures. This entry-level role focuses on applying fundamental knowledge of metal building systems and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Tekla, etc.. with a strong emphasis on quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery. The Drafter 1 is expected to execute assigned tasks independently, while continuously developing their technical and procedural understanding.
QualificationsRequirements
Experience in metal building drafting or a related field.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Strong PC, Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Advanced English communication skills (B2+ level)
Comprehensive understanding of the US customary units system.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills and the capability to multitask and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously..
High School diploma in technical drawing or an Architectural Drafting degree.
Strong mathematical skills — preference for profiles with an Engineering background or Architects with strong math aptitude.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with Tekla Structures and Trimble Connect software, including checking Tekla drawings and BOMs.
Proficiency in Revit.
Familiarity with metal building structures and detailing standards
Certifications
Relevant industry certifications are highly valued.
