Junior AutoCAD Drafter

FLASH is seeking a Drafter 1 to join our Sales Team. FLASH is the fastest-growing parking technology solution in the United States. It is recognized as the leader in Cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) applications in the mobility industry. The Drafter 1 will work closely with our Sales Managers, and Project Managers daily. This position will primarily be responsible for creating site-specific CAD drawings and detailed PDF markups, supplied to clients and contractors, as a reference for installation and infrastructure purposes.

What we are looking for?

• A candidate will be successful in this role if they have experience/ability in reading construction drawings, and experience using CAD drafting software. Experienced Engineers and Project Managers will be available to coach, train, and develop, but an understanding of construction documents and plans will be desired. A successful Drafter will be eager to learn and not afraid to conduct process improvement. Upward mobility and career growth will be available to the right candidate to work their way up to a lead Engineer, Project Manager, or similar role.

Essential Job Fuctions

• Design plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Translating engineering sketches and markups into properly documented drawings including schematics, plan and profile, and miscellaneous design details.
• Coordinate and participate in project status calls and meetings with clients, architects, engineers, design personnel, and in-house manufacturing teams.
• Create and implement processes and tools to streamline the sales cycle, enhance efficiency, and improve the customer’s overall technical comprehension of our solutions
• Providing solution driven information and assistance to Sales Managers throughout the project for required approvals and sign-off.

Education & Experience

• College graduate in Drafting and Design, Engineering, Construction Science, Integrated Science and Technology, or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school.
• Preferably proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD software, Bluebeam Revu, including but not limited to the development of horizontal and layout views, elevation views, vertical profiles, cross sections, existing and proposed site linework, blocks, groups, quantities, dimensioning, viewports, title blocks, and knowledge of CAD Standards, layers, and best practices. A basic understanding of electrical circuits, relays, low voltage controls, construction documentation, and plan interpretation is also desired. Mobility, parking, or access control experience is highly preferred.
