- The Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) team manages client portfolios in accordance with their investment objectives, risk profiles and mandate guidelines.
- The Portfolio Implementation Specialist plays a critical role in bridging investment management, technology and operational execution. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient portfolio implementation, driving platform and process enhancements, and supporting the evolution of the Bank's investment operating model. Working closely with Portfolio Managers, Investment Specialists, Technology, Operations and external vendors, the specialist helps deliver scalable, controlled and technology-enabled solutions that enhance investment outcomes, operational resilience and client experience
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Implementation & Fund Management Activities
- Oversee portfolio liquidity, cash management, FX hedging and trade implementation activities to support efficient execution of investment strategies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Compliance and Dealing Desk teams to ensure seamless portfolio management processes.
- Drive process consistency and operational excellence across regional offices through governance, controls and technology enhancements.
Investment Technology & Platform Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between Bank of Singapore and BlackRock for Aladdin-related matters, including platform enhancements, issue resolution and system improvements.
- Partner with Portfolio Managers for system maintenance, enhance dashboards, analytics, reporting capabilities and investment workflows.
- Drive improvements in data quality, system usability and pre-trade monitoring controls.
AI, Digital & Data (ADD) Transformation
- Support the Bank's AI, Digital and Data (ADD) vision by driving digitalisation and automation initiatives across portfolio management processes.
- Champion the adoption of AI, digital and data-driven solutions to enhance investment processes, decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Drive automation, data governance and technology transformation initiatives across the portfolio management ecosystem.
- Translate business requirements into scalable solutions and represent investment stakeholders in strategic projects.
Governance, Risk & Change Management
- Support regulatory, audit and compliance requirements through strong governance, controls and documentation standards.
- Maintain operating procedures, knowledge repositories and process frameworks to ensure a resilient operating model.
- Act as a change champion, driving continuous improvement, innovation and digital adoption across the investment platform
Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience at private bank, asset management or fund house, in particular vital experience with the Aladdin Enterprise and Wealth system
- Familiarity with portfolio management and key asset classes an advantage
- Team player with initiative. Accuracy and attention to details.
- Minimum Degree in relevant fields
Skills Required
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in private banking, asset management, or a fund house
- Vital experience with the Aladdin Enterprise and Wealth system
