Ferring+You

As part of the Ferring strategy to strengthen its Biologics portfolio, you will be part of the Downstream process development team within the Ferring Biologic Innovation Center (FBIC). In bioprocessing scale-up and down is common and represents a technical challenge. Representative scale down models are essential to mimic manufacturing operation to support the extrapolation of conditions and provide process understanding.

In this role you will help establish the methodology to conduct process characterization studies. Using predictive and representative small scale models, you will design experiments that enable data‑driven decision‑making. This approach will not only accelerate process understanding and reduce development risk but also provide a strong foundation for regulatory readiness and late‑stage validation activities. By integrating statistical design‑of‑experiments principles and systematically assessing process robustness, you will contribute to building scalable, well‑characterized biologics processes that support reliable technology transfer and long‑term manufacturing success.

Your day at Ferring

• Assess scale down models
• Evaluate diverse Design of Experiments for process characterization studies
• Statistical analysis by JMP software
• Perform the lab activities as required.
• Report and present the outcomes to different audiences.
• Participate in the organization of the laboratory in a lean, efficient, and smart way.
• Be accountable for your work and working environment.

The typical candidate for this role is a master student in Bioprocessing (Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or any related field).

It will be beneficial for the candidate to demonstrate all or some of the skills, competences, and experiences below:

• Hands-on experience in protein purification.
• Basic knowledge in filtration and chromatography technics
• Strong interest in statistics
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Communicate orally and in writing fluently in English.
• Proactive and dynamic.
