We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department in a skilled nursing facility. The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operations of the nursing department to ensure the highest quality of care for residents while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities-
Oversee daily operations of the nursing department in a skilled nursing facility.

Supervise and support nursing staff including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs/LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

Ensure delivery of high-quality resident care and implementation of individualized care plans.

Maintain compliance with CMS, state health department, and facility policies and procedures.

Lead quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.

Manage infection prevention and control programs.

Participate in survey readiness and coordinate responses to regulatory inspections.

Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff.

Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care.

Investigate incidents, complaints, and clinical concerns and implement corrective actions.

Ensure proper documentation and medical record compliance.

Current Registered Nurse license in the facility state.

Minimum 3–5 years of nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.

Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and CMS guidelines.

Experience with survey preparation and regulatory compliance.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Skills Required
