Job Summary:
We are looking for a service-minded Domestic Operations Specialist to act as a liaison between our customers and freight carriers. The Specialist will secure new accounts, expedite the sharing of information and documentation between customers and carriers, and communicate with dispatchers and drivers to track the status of loads. You will negotiate contracts with carriers in a manner that optimizes profits.
To ensure success in this position you need to maintain current knowledge of freight carrier services and be effective in attracting new customers and ensuring customer retention. Top applicants are customer-oriented and can multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and carriers
- Manage new and existing customer accounts and solicit freight
- Generate new customers from leads or cold calls
- Process and generate shipment orders in company TMS
- Communicate with carriers and tender loads
- Plan, manage, and trace shipments
- Provide financial and shipment reports to customers and management
- Take immediate action to correct or solve issues that may occur
- Be on-call on holidays, weekends, and after traditional office hours
- Other assigned duties
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Looking for someone who is intelligent, self-motivated, detail-oriented, has excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Prior experience in transportation, supply chain management, freight brokerage, or logistics industry preferred.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two to five years of experience in a similar position preferred.
- Established customer and carrier relationships preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
